All Doonas have both car sear and stroller functionality and go through extensive testing to ensure they reach the strictest safety standards for each category, plus aircraft approval. Whether you choose the Doona+, Doona i, or Doona X, you can count on these core features:

Developed with medical experts to support your baby’s posture, every Doona also comes with an infant insert and head support that are ergonomically designed to mimic a natural fetal position. Plus, all textiles meet the strictest European safety standards, including REACH regulation and SVHC testing, ensuring the materials used are free from hazardous chemicals for safe and continuous use.

And for added convenience, every Doona model is compatible with an ISOFIX base, customized to fit each version while maintaining the same functionality.

The Doona i was developed to comply with the latest R129 child car seat regulation which is the most updated standard in the European Union. In addition to these enhanced safety features, we’ve also listened to customer feedback to ensure that this updated version of the Doona continues to meet parents’ needs whle maintaining our signature design and quality.

Key feature differences between Doona + and Doona i

Integrated 5-Point Harness – Unlike the manual rethread harness in the original Doona+, the Doona i features an adjustable harness linked to the adjustable headrest, making height adjustments easier while reducing the risk of misuse. Despite this difference, both versions of the harness uphold the highest safety standards.

Enhanced Side Impact Protection (SIP) – While both models have a double-wall structure for side impact protection, the Doona i includes an SIP add-on for even greater protection. While not required thanks to the double wall structure, this extra layer provides additional security.

Improved Wheels & Handlebar Design – The Doona i now features 4 quick-release wheels (compared to 2 on the Doona+) for smoother manoeuvrability. Plus, there is a new handlebar design.

Meet the Doona X – The Ultimate 2-in-1 Travel System

The Doona X takes innovation to the next level, offering a reclining seat with three adjustable positions—sit, relax, and lean back. This means your baby can enjoy even more comfort, making the Doona X a true all-in-one stroller and car seat solution.

Full-Recline Feature (159°) – Unlike the Doona i, the Doona X allows your baby to lie back comfortably, making it more suitable for extended stroller use.

Soft Release System – A new gentle opening mechanism ensures a smoother transition from car seat to stroller mode, preventing sudden movements that could disturb your baby.

Extended Canopy with Zipper Closure – The redesigned larger canopy offers more shade due to its extended size and is now easier to remove and refit thanks to its zippered design.

Shock-Absorbent Wheels – The Doona X introduces a shock absorbent mechanism, creating a smoother, more comfortable ride for your little one.
